Adam Rosekelly

AIA | Founder and Principal

Adam Rosekelly founded Architecture Office in Cleveland, Ohio in 2015. He has over 15 years of professional experience working on conceptually rigorous works of architecture.

Prior to founding Architecture Office, Adam worked for Cleveland, Ohio-based firms Studio Techne Architects and LDA architects, and Culver City, California-based Eric Owen Moss Architects. At EOMA, Adam worked on projects of a new complexity, scale and conceptual rigor, including the Samitaur Tower in Culver City, CA. These projects received regional, national, and international recognition.

From 2005 to 2010, Adam helmed Fields Collaborative in Los Angeles. The predecessor to Architecture Office, this practice also emphasized the experiential aspects of space articulated through iteration and material exploration.

Adam engages with the Cleveland design community through his installation works, and has taught inner city youth about architecture and urban design as an artist-in-residence at the Cleveland non-profit Progressive Arts Alliance. He has been an active member of the Ohio City neighborhood’s Architectural Board of Review since 2018, and was the chair of the Gordon Square neighborhood’s Architectural Board of Review from 2012 to 2014.

Adam has taught as adjunct professor at Kent State University’s School of Architecture and Environmental Design in both first and third year design studios and regularly sits on student juries.

Ethan Rothermel

Project Manager

Ethan Rothermel has worked as a project manager for Architecture Office since 2017. He holds both graduate and undergraduate degrees from Kent State University and is quickly working towards licensure. He has made significant contributions on projects including the Lakewood Seventh Day Adventist Church,  Mullen residence and BoxSpot and is quickly becoming the resident restaurant design expert in the office. He is a quick study of both construction details and the intricacies of building code.

He commands a wide array of 3d modeling programs and enjoys experimenting with digital and parametric design tools—the visual coding program Grasshopper, in particular. He is interested in analog and digital fabrication and has a fascination for details, digital forms, and design. Ethan’s approach to design is rooted in technology. His mastery of the tools of contemporary architecture has pushed AO’s iteration-based approach to design forward.
