The project included both interior and exterior renovations for a local general contractor, Scalish Construction. Exterior renovations included a complete replacement of the exterior facade to replicate original historic photos. Masonry restoration and cleaning is stated for future completion. The interior is simplified to create an open office. The kitchen is concealed by two large (6’x12′) sliding barn doors (under construction). The lighting was simplified to include two 1″ wide LED lighting strips running the length of the space. These are designed to create an even distribution of light with the least number of fixtures possible. By focusing the light, it becomes the focal point and organizational driver of the functional flow of space. Slipping past the bathroom walls, they strengthen the simplicity and functionality of the office layout.
